Plagiarism Policy

The journal’s policy towards plagiarism goes as follows:

  • If it has obviously been proven that most of the research to be published, its entirety or parts of it, has been extracted from somewhere, then the researcher shall be subject to plagiarism procedures.
  • The research has to be presented against a board committee that consists of two or three academic professors. Based on the committee decision, an action has to be taken; and the act of plagiarism is to be clearly noted at the end of the research on the journal’s website.
  • The board of the journal may take the decision of not dealing with this researcher again.
  • The publishing policy of Diaa Al-Fekr Journal does not allow similarity index to exceed 20% overall and 4% from a single source.

Guidelines on how to avoid Plagiarism:

Following are some important points that should be borne in mind while turning in the research article for publication in Diaa Al-Fekr Journal:

  • Avoid “taking and using the thoughts, writings, and inventions of another person as one’s own”.
  • Always give proper credit to the person whose work is being consulted or quoted.
  • Do not use published or unpublished work without referencing.
  • Must never collaborate with any other person when the work is supposed to be individual.
  • Avoid the use of unacknowledged material published on the web.
  • Do not copy someone else’s results.
  • Do not use one’s own published work (self-plagiarism).

Diaa Al-Fekr Journal Editorial Board reserves the right to reject any paper that does not abide by the plagiarism policy and guidelines elaborated here.
