Rules of publication

Rules of Publication in the Refereed Scientific Journal known as “Diaa Al Fekr”.

First: Publication rules for research and studies submitted to the “Diaa Al Fekr” Journal committee members:

– The Refereed Scientific Journal “Diaa Al Fekr” publishes English, Arabic and French research papers and studies in the field of humanities, social and economic sciences.

– The research submitted to the journal should be original and innovative, and has not been previously published in any other means of publication, whether paper or electronic. The researcher undertakes that in a written document when submitting the research for publication.

–  The journal accepts publishing research papers, translated or edited texts, and book reviews.

–  The research paper should be sent in Microsoft Word format to the journal’s e-mail.

–  The research paper should be written in a proper language, taking into account the required punctuation marks.

–  After accepting the research paper for publication, it will be considered as a right reserved for the journal, so it is not allowed to transfer from it without referring to the journal.

– The author agrees to transfer the copyright of publications to the Diaa Al- Fekr journal as soon as he submits the research.

– The researcher has the right to republish his research in a book after two years. He should get the written approval from the editorial board, and reference to the journal in accordance with the approved procedures.

– The journal notifies the authors or researchers that their research is approved for publication within a period not exceeding six weeks from the date of submitting the research, after submitting it to the arbitration committee. The arbitration committee can ask the author or researcher to make formal or comprehensive amendments to the research before publication.

– Ownership of the research, after being accepted for publication, reverts to the journal, as it reserves the right to make some minor changes to the text.

– The research is subjected to confidential two or more specialized blind reviewers as determined by the editorial board.

– The number of research pages should not be less than 12 pages, and should not exceed 20 pages of normal size (A4).

– The published research expresses the opinions of its authors, and does not reflect the opinions of the journal.

– The order of the studies in the journal is done according to certain technical standards specific to the journal.

– The researcher has to pay the financial expenses resulting from the arbitration process even if he decides not to publish his research after the approval of the committee.

– The researcher who published in the Refereed Scientific Journal “Diaa Al Fekr” for the first time should accompany his research paper with the title, biography and a scientific brief.

– The research paper should meet the requirements of scientific research.

–  Research papers must be formatted in A4 size. The font type and size are according to the following publication conditions:
The type of font in the Arabic research is (Simplified Arabic). Its size is 16 bold for the main heading, 14 bold for sub-headings, and 14 normal for body and page numbering; The distance between the lines shall not be less than 1.15. The font size for tables, figures, and illustrations is 12 normal, while the font size is 10 for the summary and footnotes.
The type of font in English and French Research papers is Times New Roman. The font size is 16 bold for the headline, 13 bold for sub-headings, and 13 normal for body and pagination; The distance between the lines shall not be less than 1.15. The font size is 11 normal for tables, figures, and illustrations, while the font size is 9 normal for summary and footnotes.
Single spacing is taken into account when submitting the research, leaving suitable margins (2.5 cm) on all sides (top – bottom – right – left).

Second: The steps of publishing in the refereed scientific journal “Diaa Al Fekr” :

– The researcher sends his research to the editorial board’s e-mail in word format.

– The editor-in-chief sends the researcher a notification of the arrival of the research within a period not exceeding one week.

– Diaa Al Fekr editors are routinely using plagiarism detection software to verify the originality of papers submitted to their journal, where research in which the plagiarism rate exceeds the internationally accepted rate is rejected for publication.

– The submitted research papers are presented to the jury, after the names and addresses of their authors have been deleted for the sake of objectivity and scientific integrity.

– The researcher is informed of the jury’s decision regarding the validity of his research for publication or not within a period not exceeding six weeks.

– The editorial board shall send the report of the arbitral committee to the researcher if it includes notes that require amendment, provided that the amended copy shall be returned to it within less than a month from the date of sending the report.

–  Re-presenting the amended version to the jury, and informing the researcher of the outcome of the arbitration, accepting or apologizing.

Third: Instructions for writing in the refereed scientific journal “Diaa Al Fekr”:

The researcher follows the following steps in preparing his research:

– Writing the title in the centre of the first page in bold, size (18) for research written in Arabic, and (16) for writing in a foreign language, and below it to the left is the name of the researcher, and the address of the correspondence in bold (14).

– It is necessary for the researcher to attach his study to an abstract (150 words) in both Arabic and English, provided that the font size is (12). If the study is written in English or French, it is sufficient to send an abstract in Arabic.

– The summary is appended with five keywords that express the exact content of the search, and they are written in bold (12).

– Shapes and tables: the need to number each of the figures and tables, respectively, according to their appearance in the research, in size 8, and provide them with small titles at the bottom of the size of 9, provided that each of them is indicated in the body of the research with its numbers.

– Margins: The margins of the bottom pages are written in a plain font (10), and they are used to indicate any note, or to clarify any information contained in the body of the search, and a distinctive star raised above the text is used to refer to it as follows: (*).

– Sources and references: The sources and references are documented within the text as follows: (author’s name, year of publication: page number). This is to refer to the source of information in the list of sources and references at the end of the research in an alphabetical list.

– List of references should be organized in APA style.

Quranic verses: It is drawn in the Uthmani script in flowered brackets ﴾ ﴿, with the reference to the surah and the verse number in the footnote.

Writing numbers: The numbers mentioned in the text are written as follows:
Numbers from 0 to 9 are written in letters as words.

Numbers from 10 and above are proven in numerical form, unless they begin the sentence.

Units of measurement (age, weight…) are written in numerical form, unless the sentence begins with it.

Relative fractions: It is written in letters in the form of words, for example: one-sixth, one-fifth, one-third…

Diaa Al Fekr has set specific guidelines to be followed by researcher/ author:

1- Include in the Manuscript.
2- A summary in 2 languages: Arabic and English / French.
3- Introduction.
4- Statement of the problem.
5- Significance.
6- Objectives.
7- Research questions.
8- Background.
9- Methodology.
10- Research Structure/ Sections.
11- Conclusion/ Findings and Recommendations.
12- Footnotes ( if there are available) at the end of the research followed by References.

When sending the manuscript via email to the journal, you should check the formatting process to avoid any technical errors especially if there are graphs, tables, figures…

On the left side of the 1st page and below the title, write your full name, affiliated institution, rank ( professor, Assistant, Associate, Lecturer, PhD candidate…), email, and mobile number.
